Question about Fujitsu M4097D IPC Path-Through Flatbed Scanner
I've got a problem with blank streaks down all of my scans, one time it will just be the middle, the next it will be most of the document, very inconsistant. I've clead glass, rollers, basically everything i can get into. is this a cleaning issue? or could it be something else?
Couild still be cleaning. Look to see if there's a separate glass strip across the paper path (usually just upstream of the flatbed window). Dirt here is a common cause of streaks. If not that, then you might be looking at a problem on the scanner array, or in the connections going to it (much harder to get to the bottom of this - and I wouldn't have mentioned it but for the fact you say the streaks are inconsistent). A.
