Can't get the second guitar to play. When you go to the 2 player screen, it asks you to place the guitar on the side you want to play it on. We did that. The first one said "ready". We were able to get the second one on the other side, but it wouldn't register "ready" or anything else. Is this the same as World Tour? I miss spoke myself before when I said I had World Tour. I have Legends of Rock III for WII. Sorry about that!

start the guitar hero game as you normally would. then take the remote that you are going to put into the first guitar and press the "home" button", this should bring up a screen that will allow you to connect another remote in the game, press the reconnect area and aim both remotes at the sensor and press the 1 and 2 button at the same time, exit this screen and then got multiplayer section of the game and you should be set. my 10 year old neighbor had to show me this. good luck..
Try going to the Wii menu and reconnecting the main remote. You'll be asked to simultaneously press No# 1 & 2 to reconnect the main remote. You can then press No# 1 & 2 on the second remote so that the console reads two remotes. Now you can go to the Guitar Hero software and join the band.
Hope this helps -- it worked for us!
From Harmonix spokesperson: "Support for the GHIII guitar peripherals in Rock Band on the Wii was not possible without Activision's permission. Therefore, any questions regarding lack of compatibility with GH III hardware should be directed to Activision."
