Question about GE GSS20IEP Side by Side Refrigerator

Dent in Freezer

I had an icemaker that wasn't working, the green light was blinking. I took the icemaker out and let it thaw out and put the icemaker back in and it worked. Problem is when reinstalling it I chewed up the side of the interior of the freezer which is no dented in a couple places by a sharp corner of the icemaker part. It does not appear to be punctured, but I would like to be able to fill those dents with something to make those spots a little sturdier. Is there anything recommended to patch the white shell of the interior of the freezer?

The Ice Maker quit. A red light on the freezer wall is blinking.

a steady blink is ok and when you hold the flapper in should be a solid red light. if its blinking and solid when you hold it down the optics are ok. feel the weter fill tube going into the icemaker is it frozen it should be soft. if its frozen thaw it with a hair dryer. if thats ok chances are its the icemaker module which is the icemaker motor. hopethis helps...

Ice maker stopped working

The laser , is supposed to blink . This laser , tells the icemaker to stop making ice , when the bin is full . Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the icemaker . If it doesn't dump the cubes into the bin , the icemaker is bad . Or , if there is ice in the bin , which hasn't dumped , the icemaker is bad . If the icemaker dumps the ice ( from water pour ) , then look above the fill cup , and see if the black fill tube is frozen . If so , then replace the water valve and turn the freezer temp down slightly . It will take several days for this fill line inside freezer to thaw . If icemaker dumps , and black tube NOT frozen , replace the water valve . The valve , is where the wall water line connects to on the refrig .

Ice maker not producing any ice.

Pour about 1/2 cup of water into icemaker . Squeeze the black fill tub which is above the icemaker cup . If ice apears to be in it , this indicates that the weter valve is not completely closing , letting a drip ocasionally go thru and freezing inside the tube , ( water valve bad ) . that will be a different solution . If the icemaker dumps the cubes after freezing . and black tube is not frozen , replace the water inlet valve . If the icemaker does not dump the ice after frozen , replace the icemaker ( only 1 screw holds the icemaker in , located on rear portion on right , faceing down . Also check the icemaker rake , which should be about the 2:30 position . To thaw out the black tube (which runs thru the top of the refrig ) a 1/4 push on connector will be needed . Remove the icemaker and use a hairdryer aimed up into the hole . Cut the tubing to the fill tub behind the fridge about 9 inches from where it enters the top of the fridge . This will let warm air inside the top fill line to help thaw . Ocassionally blow thru the 9 inch tube until you can blow thru it . May take a day or 2 , depending how frozen the line is . Once air will go thru , install the push on connector to couple the cut lines back togather .

The blinking red light on the right side , is the receiver for the electric eye for cutting off the icemaker when the door bin is full , This blinking is normal . 2 blinks ...pause...2 blinks..etc .

Do not replace the filter if water flow is good thru the dispensor .

Whirlpool ET21DMXDW05 top freezer. icemaker not working

Give it some more time. The icemaker has an internal thermostat and it will not come back on until it reaches 16 degrees. It takes a while after it gets warm. if it doesn't start functioning in a few more hours you may have other problems. Hope this helps

KSRA25IL ice cube tray won't fill

The fill tube is probably frozen. Its in the roof of the freezer. turn off the freezer and heat the roof of the freezer with a hair dryer, being careful not to get it too hot,and it should thaw and work again. If you can put the food elsewhere for a day, just turning it off with the door open should work also.

Kitchenaid superba icemaker leaking/freezing in freezer section

Your water hose that connects to the back of the freezer may be loose. Move the fridge out away and in the back make sure it is tightend.

Let me know if it helped :)

According to the manual for your refrigerator:
Blinking green light indicates an ice cube is stuck in the icemaker. To fix - Turn off the ice maker with the on/off switch. Then remove all of the ice from the icemaker by hand and turn it back on.

I hope this helps.
