HT-RC360 no longer feeds video to my TV .

Update firmware (usually every 6 months). Connect the ethernet to the unit, press Net and Power button simultaneously. Hit Enter as directed. Takes up to 60 minutes. OR (if no internet service), download firmware updates onto a USB (32MB) and connect it to the USB port. If you do not update voluntarily, unit will suddenly not feed video.

Runs then turns off says protection

Protection" is an indicator that the unit is locked in protect mode. This may have been triggered by either playing the Samsung unit on too high volume level causing a hardware failure or a systems glitch.

If it were a glitch, a re-initialization of the built-in microprocessor may address the issue (if haven't been tried and only if you would consider. In some instances, re-initialization would result to the unit refusing to function which would confirm a firmware fault and not only a glitch):
  • turn off the power;
  • press and hold the STOP button on the main unit for 5 sconds or more;
  • try the unit;
  • if a no-go, with "NO DISC" displayed;
  • press and hold the STOP button on the main unit for 5 sconds or more;
  • "INITIAL" should be displayed.
The above (if a glitch and not a firmware fault) would force the HT-TX52 unit to revert back to factory defaults. Doing so would remove glitches, errors in settings & configurations, memories, presets and user preferences. As above stated, in some instances, re-initialization would result to the unit refusing to function which would confirm a firmware fault and not only a glitch

Should the above be not corrective, then it would be a hardware fault and options then are:
  • consider a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair if and only if very familiar with electronic components & circuitry, use of a DVM/VOM and a soldering iron/station. Access to a Service Manual or at the very least, a schematic diagram is likewise necessary;
  • should you be uncomfortable with a DIY, perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of an authorized Samsung Service Center (specially if still under warranty) or a qualified professional.

Que drive no longer recognized

verify that the USB port is working, you may also try it on another machine to see if it works, you may have a corrupt driver for your usb port. If it works on another machine then uninstall and reinstall updated drivers for your usb ports. I hope this helps, Good luck.

Samsung HT-TX52 keeps shutting off.

I've had the Samsung HT-TX52 for almost a year now, and just recently, after about 10 mintues it keeps shutting off. Its almost like new and hardly used, why is it doing this?There is no error message, it just shuts off. I've tried unplugging it for a day, taking out all my wires and reconnecting them perfectly, and it still does this robert
