Well I thought I had one of the mini-jack to F type connector cables ordered but then it became Discontinued at PacParts.com. However, if Radio Shack still carries those F-connector to mini-mono earphone plugs then with another F-type Quick Connect you can make one with a length of RG-*.*/U cable with F-type screwon male connectors. Almost every one has some of those cable or satellite pieces laying around or stored and with proper adapters can fashion one for their portable TV's.

I'm trying to hook up my DVD player to my TV but my TV doesn't have a yellow jack only red and black

Hi,

If your TV doesn't have a Video IN jack (Yellow) then you would have to attach your dvd by antenna (Coaxial) cable. What does the DVD have on the back ? EG: Video Out is Yellow, Red is Right Audio, White is Left Audio. If your DVD has Ant in & Ant Out you can use a coaxial cable from Ant out to your tv's antenna In socket and put your antenna cable (from your wall socket) to Ant in on the dvd. Turn on the dvd and put your tv on a blank station and tune your tv till you see the dvd screen . lock it in and that becomes your DVD channel to watch your dvd's.

Hope this is some help.

How put the cable in my tv for antenna

if you have an external antenna on your roof, then you would need to connect the antenna "Ant." (coaxial) If you have to old style 2 wire setup, you will have to get an adapter.

Page 8 of your manual shows the connection it at the top-right of the TV's rear......

Advent tv indoor antenna hook up

If the antenna has a cable like cable wire--hook it direct to the cable fitting on the set.

If the antenna uses the flat type wire (called 300 ohm twin wire) use an adapter that will connect to the end and have screws for the flat wires and a cable slide on the other side to slide onto the cable fitting on the rear of the TV

Yes i order an antenna adapter for a 2005 dodge dakota.. The end that goes into the radio fits perfectly but the end that attaches to the antenna itself will not fit.. the antenna has a round black plastic...

The adapter is not exactly the same which is required.but yes you can get the external connection for adapter which will fit in adapter and also get connected to the antenna. You will have to get this external connection from
www.walmart.com or from
www.radioshack.com
check out.thanks.

Don't know how to connect my vcr to my tv

You can either plug RCA cables from the audio and video, audio is red and white for stereo or just one of them for mono, the video is yellow, from the "outputs" on the VCR to the matching colors on the tvs "inputs". You can also connect the antenna output on the VCR to the antenna input on the tv and put the tv on channel 3 or 4, if done this way connect the antenna/cable to the VCR antenna in and connect a cable from the antenna out to the tv.

Prong on RCA antenna cable too large for spot on Toshiba vcr/dvd

Hi, You need to look on the cable itself to see if it is an RG58 or RG59 or RG6 or RG9. On an RG6 cable the center conductor is larger than on an RG58, The RG6 cable is used for incoming cable, satellite ect. An outside antenna is not usually equipped with an RG6 unless it is of the new HD variety, which is meant to go to one of the newer tvs. You can remedy the problem a couple of ways, use the ant out on the tv if you have one or use an adapter that fits 2 coax cables together and use a RG 58 jumper from the adapter to the vcr. Good Luck!

DVD won't play movies in color

RCA cable connectors (red, white, yellow) are usually for an analog setup. You could still use these for "component" setup, but know the difference with color stamps as follows:

Component color stamps are "blue, green, red" ( blue is marked Pb, green is marked Y, red is marked Pr)

RCA color stamps your using are "red, white, yellow"

Here are the proper hook up method for "Component" using your "RCA" connectors:

On both the TV and DVD component setup:

Plug the red RCA fitting in the component port marked "Pr (red)

Plug the white RCA fitting in the component port marked "Pb (blue)

Plug the yellow RCA fitting in the component port marked "Y (green)

Be sure this setup is the same for the TV's component input ports, and the DVD's component output ports.

i-Note:

For optimum picture quality you may want to purchase component cables as the gage is thicker giving better impedance match resulting in better picture and sound quality.

Xbox and tv = no sound

Yes, those cables are quite common. Check any electronics retailer like Best Buy or Walmart.

GE spacesaver 05GP009

Hello,
I had this same problem, I wanted to use this tv with a converter box and the only way to do this was to hook up the converter box with an external antenna to the small 3.5mm input on the back. If you go to radio Shack and get an "F to 1/8" Adapter"the radio shack part number is "278-257". It worked perfectly. I'm able to get many clear channels, and with the converter box I now have remote control. It works well. Good luck, I hope this helps
