Re: Indesit w127 error code f-08
Error F08 is indicating that the heater relay is stuck or cannot be activated or the contact has welded in the relay.
The only thing u can do yourself, is to check that the heater is o/k, if u can determine that it is , then u have no option other thancalling an engineer.out.
Plz rate my solution.

F08 means Wash Heater Relay Stuck (signalled in presence of empty) or pressure switch stuck on Full (simultaneously empty and full) • Check the efficiency of J3 connector contact on the card • Check pressure switch status checking J3 wiring connector pins 2 and 4 ohm continuity (it must only be present with tub empty) and pins 2 and 3 ohm continuity (it must only be present with water in the drum) and pins 2 and 1 ohm continuity (it must only be present with water in the tub above normal level, at least halfway up door glass). • Check wiring J3/pressure switch • Check connection of heating element J3 connector pins 5 and 6. • Replace pressure switch • Replace Card
All Indesit washing machines are aimed at the budget end of the market; as such the outer drum assembly is polypropylene instead of steel. This type of construction is common to almost all cheaper brands which are really designed to simply be thrown away when major parts fail.
Bearing replacement is often impossible as the outer drum inevitably cracks when the old bearing is driven out or when the new one is installed. Indesit do not normally even offer the bearing as a spare part, but if you do get the old one out a replacement can usually be supplied by a bearing shop if you take the old one along for comparison. If you then buy a new bearing and then crack the outer drum whilst trying to install it you won't be able to get a refund.
Your only realistic options are as follows:-
1. replace the entire drum assembly; 2. replace the outer drum complete with the bearing; 3. replace the entire machine.
The first option is not usually cost effective, the second option isn't always possible as it's not always available as a spare part (you didn't state which exact model you have).
The third option may be your only practical solution if you cannot put up with the noise or if the faulty bearing is causing other issues. You also need to consider that if your Indesit is used every day, then it will typically last only around three years from new before major parts start to wear out, so you might repair your machine only to find that it soon needs a new pump or has a sensor, switch or circuit board failure. Better quality (but more expensive) brands will typically last in excess of six years.
Avoid any used washing machines unless you get them for free and they just need a cheap fix like a new pump (or even better when they just need that errant sock pulled out of the tube leading to the pump: many perfectly good machines are thrown away with simple fixes like those). A bargain used machine is only a bargain if it lasts at least a year or two, and professionally "refurbished" machines normally only come with a less than reassuring ninety day warranty.
I have the same problem. Check this info (the below link) I found on F - 08 error for someones hotpoint washing machine. It may be the same thing. There could be standard error codes for all washing machines, maybe.
the error code means that the heater relay is not working.
You will need to call an engineer.
If you call hotpoint, it will cost you over £100-00.
Better to call a independant if you can find a good one.
Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.
I looked at other people's suggestions on the web and tipped the machine over to the right side at an angle of 45deg (making sure I had old towels on the kitchen floor.) Water came out from the bottom right-hand corner. When I started up the machine it worked again.
I am writing a letter of complaint to Indesit because in under 3 years I have had to call out the engineer 3 times. Twice the door dropped on it's hinges and just a week ago, when opening the door, the board with all the electronics came away.
This is the first time I have had a malfunction as such and was amazed that a list of error messages was not in the handbook!
I shall not be buying an Indesit again. I have had a Zanussi washer/dryer for 15 years at least. It has had a new door but is still going strong.
al indesit washer have a reset pattern
switch of with on/off button
turn selector to a large 'off dot' position
wait a couple of mins then switch back on
wait 2 mins
then switch off again and turn selector to a cycle start position
wait 2 mins turn back on and let it run the FULL cycle do not mess it about.
Sometimes it takes 2 or3 attempts so be patient
If there is a fault it will appear again within the cycle and give you an error code eg E7/E1 etc note this and call a repair man he will track it from this code.
