You can't. It's a hardware limitation of the MiniDisc system that was to prevent piracy. Unfortunately it does not distinguish between copyrighted material and recordings which are not subject to copyright.

There is no way around this as the circuitry just isn't there.

All you can do is to play the track in real time by connecting a lead between the audio output socket and your pc's audio input socket. Some MiniDisc players will have a menu setting to allow the headphone socket to be set to line output to bypass the volume control circuitry for enhanced quality.

Twin rca plug to stereo mini plug for a purely analogue option, may need an audio fader/enhancer if the signal is too strong

Very strange- It sound like a thermal break int he soldering somewhere.
Either that or an intermittent short in a capacitor. I suspect that the problem will be back.

When i transfer songs from my tascam to my computer or burn to a cd. The audio volume is extremely low. How do I fix this.

There are simple free solutions for editing audio
Try using audacity
When you have it installed simply open your imported tracks, hit ctrl+A to select all the entire track, then pick Effect> Amplify. It will automatically choose a comfortable listening volume, if you still can't hear you may want to tinker with the audio a bit more.

If I want to record let's say someone speaking for 90 min and burn 2 cd's , one 60min and the other 30 min from the one 90min recording , each one divided into tracks , how would I do this ?

If you want to burn a CD you have to make a master. For 2 cd's you have to make 2 masters, one for each recording.
The best way to handle this is to "create a song" for each speech giver and give each a name. This is because you can make only one master copy of a song before burning a Cd.

But another way is to :
1. Make a master of the first speech giver (who is on one track) and record to the Cd.
2. Make a new master of the second speech giver (on the other track) and record to Cd.
As long as you don't mind, the second mastering will overwrite the first one that you did, but then you already have burned a copy of that Cd!

How do you load songs on the tascam MP-GT1? does anyone know cause it would be much appreciated thnx

Connect the unit to your computer with the USB. It will show up as an external hard drive. Click on the unit from the menu and you will see 3 folders on the menu. Drag any mp3 music file from your computer to the "Music" folder on the unit. The problem you may run into however is that itunes music are copy righted and many songs on your computer may be mp4. You may need to rip directely from the cd's onto the computer, or even burn to a disc and then rip them back.
