Hi, You need to unlock your Samsung Factor (M260) to be accessed with any GSM network SIM. You can unlock it using unlock code. You can get the unlock code from www.classicunlocking.com/samsung-m260-factor/rs17wp9/ at affordable cost with easy unlocking instructions.
Is the music folder hidden? If not, sounds like the File Allocation Table might be damaged. Connect the player to your PC with the usb cable and run a scandisk.
Manda35 is correct. It was a botched update and the only way around it is to do a full format of the flash memory in the player and then reinstall the software and then retransfer the music.
Your files should still be there, if you connect the m260 to your pc with the usb cable, you should see them in Windows explorer.
The worry with reconditioned devices that utilise flash memory is that sometimes the flash memory can be corrupted. You should fully format the m260 glash memory and try again. I think they only did a quick format for you in the shop which wasn't enough.
