Question about EliteGroup P4VXASD2 Motherboard

No sound i have a P4VXASD2+v5.0 motherboard and I reformatted my hhdrive, I'm running windowsxp home and when I'm done, there's no sound, I checked on the device manager and the sound device posts a "?" sign, do I need drivers for that? pls. some1 help me, I'm losing hope....

, it means the sound chip is found but needs to know which, go to the bottom download on this site for the AC97 codec driver.

Download the driver from the sound card manufacturer's website.

Ide0 not working

Check it's not off in the Bios.
Run both the hard drive and CD drive from IDE1
or get an IDE pci card andb run the CD from that.

On the left side, choose "Motherboard", "Socket 478", "P4VXASD2", then whichever version of the board you have (not noted in your post), then click "Submit". On the next page, you can choose which download you want, in your case, the manual.

tou connot restore your original system in your Pc after you reformat that, you need to install 1 by 1,
