Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

Problems connecting to the computer

I've got a sansa e200 mp3 player and want to downoad music. When I connect it to the computer via the usb cable nothing comes up on either 'my computer' or ' windows media player, although the mp3 screen flashes 'conected' and ' recieving data'. In the quick start guide it says that you can change the usb modes by going into settings/USB modes/mtp or msc but when i go into settings no USB menu appears.

You need to update your firmware first, then the settings menu will have the option to change the USB mode.

Get the firmware updater from here, under downloads on the right side of the page.

You can copy the music from the computer to the Player My Computer\Sansa e200...\music or to a micro sd-card.

Download user manual SanDisk e200 series.
Just pick the language you need.

Cannot format

try this...

1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode)
2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version
3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)

if that doesnt fix your problem try this...

1 connect your sansa to comp via usb cable
2 right click start on windows desktop go to explore
3 scroll down to your sansa's drive rifght click it go to properties
4 go to tools tab and click "check now" under error checking will take awhile and will erase your memory on the sansa but it will probably work again

I hope my post was helpful let me know!!!!

Need instructions for sansa e200

Uhm instructions such as like adding music and deleteing
1.To add music you have to have a Media Player and the Usb cord to connect to it. You must drag songs from the Media Player to the right side of the Media Player and then click Ready to Sync
2.To delete music go to My Computer then find the mp3 then it's common sense from there.

SanDisk Sansa m200 series and my macbook pro

It is complicate,

it works on Mac OS only if you downgrade firmware for sandisk.
Here is how to do it.

If system crashes while you install the firmware you will damage the sansa, Mac OX is solid , but be careful with the USB cable.

Here is the procedure: How to use your SanDisk Sansa e200 Series .mp3 player with OS X ...
Here you can also download software

Loading music

What are you using to load music. If you have access to Windows Media Player 11 it is very simple.

First open WMP11, make sure your player is connected to the computer with the USB cable. At the top of WMP11 click Sync
the player will sync with WMP11, drag and drop music and click sync, very simple. I have a Sansa View and it is very simple, This basically works with most MP3 players.

I don't know how to load music from the internet to my new mp3

the best way for that is to read your manual.

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Windows XP SP1
Windows Media Player 10
Intel1.gif Pentium class PC or higher
CD-ROM drive
USB 2.0 port required for hi-speed transfer
CONNECTING AND TRANSFERRING
Connect to your Computer
1. Connect the small USB Cable Connector to the USB port on your computer, and then plug the larger
Cable Dock Connector in to your Sansa c200 port.
2. Once connected to computer, it should be detected by the operating system automatically and is
shown as an additional drive called “Sansa c200”.
SANSA MEDIA CONVERTER
You will need to use Sansa Media Converter to transfer photos to your Sansa c200. Insert your SanDisk
CD and select Sansa Media Converter to install it to your PC. Then you can load your personal photos
onto your Sansa c200 by using Sansa Media Converter.

TRANSFER MUSIC
To transfer music to your Sansa c200:
1. Connect Sansa c200 to the computer.
2. Drag and drop files from your computer to Sansa c200 by using a variety of music software
programs to transfer/synchronize your files.
3. In MTP mode as long as the files are WMA or MP3, they can be dragged into the Media folder.
Otherwise, they can be dragged into the Data1.gif folder (these files will not appear on the player).
4. In MSC mode, files/folders can be dragged/copied to the device.

Sansa e260

Acquire a new cable for your mp3. Loose connections on the usb cable makes your mp3 player unreadable by your system. Once you got yourself a new usb cable, you're good to go again with your gadget.

A Simple Thank You is Good Enough.
