Radio Turns Off

My wireless adapter turns off randomly. I have this device for 6 months now, and this is the first time I'm having trouble with it. Control Center says Radio's off and I can't switch it back on.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

My 802.11 WAN adapter seems to have "disappeared"

Hello,

Here is a link to IBM's website for trouble shooting the wireless adapter

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-50402

From the above link:

Some systems come with a Wireless Radio switch to disable the wireless radios. The wireless radio switch is usually located on the front side of the machine. If you are having difficulties with wireless connections, make sure the Wireless Radio switch is set in the On position.

I hope this helps.

Best of luck!!

Intel PRO/Wireless is turned off and I need help turning it on.

Hi,
just go to Network Connection >>right click Wireless Adapte>>Enable.
if doesn't work try to uninstall the Wireless NIC from the Device Manager, go to Device Manager>>Network Adapter(expand)>>Right click on wireless adapter>>uninstall.
once done, click on Action Menu on the top and click on Scan for hardware changes. It would automatically detect the wireless card.
then try to use it, it should work fine :)

you should have an on/off switch for your wireless,   your wireless device will dissapear if it is off.

also, if you are connected to wired lan some laptops automatically disconnect wireless.
