To unlock the card first.1.slide the lil lock tab in&out of lock three times then leave it in lock for a minimum 30 seconds.2.sd cards are 128-2gb and sdhc cards are 4gb-32gb. If your device like your computer ot camera is 2007 or before than its not sdhc compatible, you have to update firmware and or drivers.

I keep getting a Card Access Error message on my Sharp VE-CG40U, what could be causing this?

Actually, you didn't. You put in a new 4GB SDHC card. The camcorder works with SD cards, not with SDHC cards. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

I bought 4GB SD card for minolta dimage Z1, but error comes UNABLE TO USE CARD....I read in the fourms that this camera does not support 4GB cards... right?

Your camera came out in 2003, before SDHC cards were invented. Chances are, the 4G card you're trying to use is not an SD but an SDHC card and won't work in your camera.

Kodak memory card.4G, SDHC. Have uploaded pix, erased and reformatted this card. Camera still says its locked? Slide is up closest to contacts. Can you help? Thanks.

Just checking, but it's important that you format the card in the camera, and not in the computer. Here are some troubleshooting steps for a locked SD card. If the slide switch is indeed toward the contacts, might consider trying the toothpick fix (Fix 4), and if that doesn't work, the tape fix (Fix 4a).

Unable to get a 4g SD card to work in this camera

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". Some include trying to use of a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

My new memory card is say it locked but lock on card is not locked it is a sd 4g

The A410 works with SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card, not an SD card, and will not work in this camera. You have to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

My SDHC card is locked. When I put the memory card

The problem solved by using the proper SDHC card reader. It is working fine in the camera now.

Menory card error

The problem is that you've probably got a SDHC (High Capacity) card which is not supported with the S2; it only supports SD cards (up tp 2G)
