Dear sjarrad

if its just come back from being chipped

there is 2 things that could be wrong with it

1. that when the Xbox was modded the firmware put onto the console it was corrupt.
2. when the console was chipped it wasn't done right so therefore corrupted the data.

these are common issues of having a console chipped.

im afraid that you cant get it repaired by microsoft because opening the console to mod it expires the warranty sorry.

the only thing you could really do is ring the person who modded it and say it wasn't done properly it there kind enough people they might just fix it for you.

yours sincerely jordan

When i turn my xbox 360 on the green light stays on for 30 seconds and then turns red and wont play what would be wrong

While on the RED light. Press and hold the "SYNC" button (don't let go if it during any of the stages). Now press and release the "EJECT button. Note the amount of flashing lights. Do this three more times (still holding the sync button) each time noting the amount of lights that flash. This will give you a total of 4 numbers. My xbox 360 will turn on but the lil green circle wont light up and controller wont connect?

Your xbox 360 may not actually be on if there's no green light and your controller won't connect. If pressing the power button doesn't turn on the console/green light doesn't come on then your motherboard may be bad.

4 red lights flashing

Hi there,

The TV screen or monitor remains black when you start an Xbox 360 console.

This behavior may occur with or without a game disc in the disc tray. The console appears to be on because the green power light illuminates and the fan continues to operate. However, the screen remains black.

Flashing red and green light in xbox

You have a major failure on the motherboard. If it was your hard drive the system will boot up, but freeze on the main screen and you will hear clicking coming out of the hard drive. Red and Green flashing lights means there is a problem on the motherboard. Sometimes you can fix the problem by reflashing the Bios on the main motherboard.
