Question about Intel Deluxe PC Camera CS330 Webcam
I recently bought the upgrade cd for my Intel webcam (CS340) so it would work on Windows XP. I was able to use it with Win 98 I get the following error message Live video is currently unavailable. Anoither application may be using the camera, your Intel USB camera may not be plugged in or your software may not be properly installed Here is a capture of the error message. http://www3.telus.net/m1000/feb%202007/webcam%20error.jpg I use the webcam in Photoshop through 'file > acquire > intel webcam' I think (but Im not positive) that I got this error message when I had Win98 but I cant think what the problem was Can anyone help? Thank you Mark
What may be happening is photoshop is still aquiring the cam in the programme although you may of finished using the software and the camera automatically associates itself with adobe. press Ctrl, Alt & Delete to get into task manager and in the applications tab look for your photoshop programme, if it is there, click end process. If not there look in processes and do the same, this should release your camera for use with other applications. If all fails you will have to uninstall the camera software and reinstall to associate it with the cam.
