Speed up your computer by:

-- cleaning system junk
-- optimizing computer services
-- optimizing internet
-- repairing registry
-- defraging registry
-- clearing browsers junk

do these things with some secure tool such as Intel Software Partner Reginout.

Thanks

Slow pc is the cause of many problems.
1=firstly,use disk cleanup.
2=secondly,regularly defragment your hard disk.
3=thirdly,try to switch over to pentium 4 3.0 Ghz or intel core 2 duo.
4=at last, change your motherboard to ddr2 Ram supporting Board.

Pentium 4 with 1.75Ghz available for windows 7?

This should work ok. What version of windows 7 will you using ? Try to have as much as RAM as possible, at least 2GB (not more than 4GB if 32-bit version). Your computer will probably be slower.

I have a pentium 3 , 450 mhz can i up grade this computer to be more faster, i have right now 320 ram on it but still not to fast.

Sorry, but there really isn't much one can do to speed up a P3. It's time to bite the bullet and get a new PC. There are a lot of good PC's out there for less than $500. Black Friday is coming up...you should be able snag a good PC for a good price then.
If you aren't in a position to purchase a new PC, you can try the following:
1...Purchase more RAM, however, IMHO that money would be better spent towards a new PC.
2...Defragment the hard drive. Are you even running Windows XP? If so, go to start > accessories > system tools > defragmenter.
3...You may have malware running on your computer that is slowing it down. Download and run MalwareBytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/
4...If it's been a while since your re-installed your operating system (2 years or more) then a clean install should pep it up a bit, but that's a lot of work to get everything back to the way it was.
5...There are a few free products from eusing.com that you can use:
http://www.eusing.com/Window_Washer/Window_Washer.htm and
http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm If the Registry Cleaner works well for you, try to resist the temptation to keep using it often. It should only be used every 6 months or so.
6...Clean the inside of the computer. Be careful though, as you can zap your computer if you are't careful, so Google how to clean a computer before making the attempt.
7...Consider running (free) Linux Ubuntu on the computer. Ubuntu isn't a resourse hog like Xp is.

No. The pentium 2 is too slow to run Windows XP and be very useful. It will run XP, but it won't be an enjoyable experience.

Gta- iv is not working in my pc

GTA IV is a very poorly coded game and has trouble running on even some of the best PC's.  Do you have 2gigs of RAM and 280MB free?  Either way, you will certainly need a very very good video card to play this game.  What video card do you have now?  Did the game work before you installed vista ultimate?  Is the game also pirated?  If so it's quite possible you downloaded a bad version.

Changing a cpu on a compaq 5000T/REM

Hello,
I've located this description when installing the pentium 4 processor on Windows XP. If you have not performed these steps this may be the cause of what you are experiencing. To save you time I've pasted the section below--> Operating System Support
Nearly all modern operating systems designed for the Intel Architecture have support for the Pentium 4 processor, although some may require specific versions or processor support files. Many Microsoft operating systems like Windows* 98 SE, Windows NT* 4 with Service Pack 5, Windows* 2000, Windows* ME, and Windows* XP support the Pentium 4 processor. Linux* distributions based on the Linux* 2.4 core support the processor. Also, many other vendors have support for the Pentium 4 Processor in their operating systems. System integrators should verify that the operating system they have selected supports the Pentium 4 processor.

Note: Windows XP or certain versions of Linux are required for Hyper-Threading Technology2 support for the Pentium 4 processor. For additional information on integrating systems based on the Pentium 4 processor supporting Hyper-Threading Technology, refer to the Integration Overview for Systems Based on the Intel Pentium 4 Processor Supporting Hyper-Threading Technology.

All operating systems that support the SSE instructions that were first introduced with the Intel® Pentium III processor will also support the SSE2 instructions introduced with the Pentium 4 processor. To experience the power of the SSE2 instructions, it is critical that system integrators install drivers and software that have been optimized for the Pentium 4 processor's SSE2 instructions. For example, for maximum system performance, system integrators using Microsoft operating systems that support DirectX* should load DirectX 8 (or higher).

Software Optimization
With specific drivers that use the SSE2 instructions, graphics accelerators, audio hardware and software, and other system resources can experience substantial performance gain. It is critical that systems also use APIs that use SSE2 instructions to achieve maximum performance. Two examples are Microsoft's DirectX 8 (or higher) and Open GL 1.2 (or higher). Most major graphics accelerator vendors have optimized drivers that use the SSE2 instructions. Graphics card vendors typically highlight support changes with new driver releases. Download and install the latest drivers (dated later than October 2000) from the vendor's Web site. Also, verify that the driver version contains optimization for the Pentium 4 processor.

Many applications also use the SSE2 instructions to experience the breakthrough performance of the Pentium 4 processor. System integrators should contact software vendors to verify support and determine version information.

System performance is greatly affected by proper operating system and driver installation processes. For example, it is important to install the latest Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility immediately after installing most Microsoft operating systems to ensure proper drivers for the chipset are installed prior to installation of other drivers. System integrators should confirm boxed Intel Pentium 4 processor-based systems are optimally configured and integrated.

Conclusion
Boxed Intel Pentium 4 processor-based systems require proper integration. System integrators that follow the guidelines in this document will experience higher customer satisfaction by providing higher quality systems.

Please let me know if you have success with this.
Thank You, Raph30
