Question about Frigidaire FEF336BC Electric Kitchen Range

1 Answer

I have a freestanding Frigidaire electric range that has been working fine but a little while ago I'll is using the oven and the top buners at the same time and suddenly lost complete power to everything not even my inside light will come on in the oven, I know this sounds like a circuit breaker which I check my outside to 20 breaker and he did not flip so my question is is there a breaker inside the range itself they can overload and be reset our have I killed my electric range and need to buy a new one

Recheck you breaker. Turn it off and then turn it back on a couple of times. There aren't any fuses in the stoves. If that doesn't work you'll want to call an electrician to check your plug and breaker. Good luck. Please rate me so I know how I'm doing. Thanks

Frigidaire oven wont heat up but stovetop and digital all works

Hello angeleyez82 - The EOC (electronic oven control/control board) basically sends power to both the broil and bake elements. As long as the power supply to the range (240VAC) and wiring between the elements is correct, then typically only the element(s) or EOC could prevent the unit from heating. I hope this information helps to some degree.

Frigidaire oven won't work. top range works fine, but digital clock and digital display stopped working which works oven, so oven also will not work f11 code

Hello steve o - Typically error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually will clear most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear contact a professional to move forward accurately. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

We get F3 when we try to set the temperature on the oven. What does F3 mean?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F3 in your range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Frigidaire gallery stove, oven not working,

Morison,
The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?

Oven wont work

If the sensor were bad, the unit would throw a fault code. On the back of the range, near the top, there should be a tech sheet for you to use to troubleshoot the range. It sounds like a thermal sensor may have opened up. Consult that tech sheet, it should point you in the right direction.

Frigidaire Electric Range model FEF366EC - Oven disabled

You probably have a short that is causing the stove not to heat up or you not to be able to control temperature settings. The stoves are made only to last as long as the warranty, and when it expires, the stove all of a sudden wants to break down. You might have to get a whole new stove.
