Yes, you can probably do it. I say probably because you didn't say which model D-Link router you had. Do you know how to get into your router's setup screen? Most routers can be configured using your web browser, by going to one of these three addresses:

There is a password set by default, which is 'admin' for most D-Link models. Leave out the user name.

Once you're accessing your router's setup pages, you'll have to hunt for security-related pages, and find the one with time restrictions. Consult the user guide or online help for your specific router. ; You can restrict time for all users or for specific users, based on their' computers' MAC address.

It is much better to configure your router using a wired (non-wireless) connection.

I dont think this router has that facilty only to schedule to local netwrotk using virtual server - advanced tab

you could buy a timeswitch - one that plugs into a standard socket and you plug the router into the time switch and set the times you want it on

Most residential routers are stateless devices that cannot do any content or time-based filtering. If either of your machines is running Vista, however, it has in-built parental controls which will allow you to restrict Internet access times.

If you do not have Vista, you will probably have to replace your D-Link router with a model like the iBoss from Phantom Technologies. It has a complete list of parental controls including content-filtering, program access control (e.g. chat, gaming), and time scheduling. You can reference a complete list of its features here:

M1 light is solid and I can not access internet or my router settings

Check the Access restrictions on the router. The page will be similar to this You will probably have this on your browser as In the list of PCs, verify that there are no IP ranges or Mac addresses that apply to your laptop.
If there are restrictions then clear them. If there are no restrictions, then the problem will be with your laptop and not the router.
Test this by connecting your laptop to your router with an ethernet cable. Switch off the wireless on your laptop (varies by model) and see if you can connect with your wired network. You should see the router at as before, and if all is well you will see the internet.
If you do not see the internet, then there is a problem with your networking setup. Perhaps you are using manual settings instead of DHCP? Ensure that you use DHCP for registering an IP address.

I can not connect to the internet. i keep get error message 80028E02.

ps3 error 80028e02 can be caused by different source of network blockages. If you happened to be in a filtered network, that's your most probable reason why your ps3 is unable to connect online. For example, if you're in a school campus, there's a high chance that the IT network administrator has placed some restrictions to prevent hackers and other malicious online activities. You can refer to the campus IT department to find out if you need to access their local page for some clearance in order for your ps3 to connect online.

If you have your own internet connection, the next probable cause is a router. Placing restrictions on some IP address or net services may have accidentally include your ps3 in it. You can change some settings within the router to grant your ps3 full access online, while at the same time maintaining other restrictions that are already in place.

Another possible remedy is have your pc internet connection shared, and use your ps3 to use that shared connection to go online. These solutions are sure fire methods of keeping ps3 80028e02 away from your console.

hi! I think your dad set the parental control on the router setup page, in order to remove this restriction, u need to access the router setup page by pulling up a browser and at the url , type in, by default the username is admin and the password, just leave it blank, if you can access the setup page then select on parental control and just turn it off and the restriction will be disable.. first things first, u need to access the setup page in order to turn off the parental control..

Once installed and configured you will be able to control the download speed to the Compaq machine (for example if you have 2mbps download speed you can set 1mbps for just your machine and .5 mbps for each of the remaining 2 machines). You can also set a daily limit to the amount of data the Compaq can download (for example you can say the Compaq machine can only download 250 mb per day). You can restrict the compaq to accessing the internet during certain hours (for example it can access the internet from 8am-9pm and block access from 9pm-8am.

The new network configuration will have the adsl modem connecting directly to a network card on the ipcop computer. The ipcop computer will need a 2nd network card to connect the router. Use ipcop to control dhcp ip addressing instead of the DI-524 router or use manual addressing.
