My philips tv won't turn on.

My tv turns off after I turn it on. maybe 30 sec. Could this be the power switch?

Not very likely. You may have to consider the possibility that your projector TV has failed in service (is broken). One thought: if a cooling fan has broken, it's possible the TV is overheating after 30 seconds of use. Can you confirm whether you formerly heard a faint fan noise from the unit, and that you no longer hear it? If so, it will need to be repaired at a Philips service facility. Also, did you do anything to it recently, such as replace a projection bulb?

Jerryob03 is correct. And the most likely circuits to do this is the convergence amplifier circuit. A short there is a typical failure in rear projection tvs. In Philips, the protect cicuit sees this and shuts down the tv to protect other circuits.

Very unlikely to be the switch. With the power supply shutting down, the problem is probably in one of the circuits that is supplied by it. Unless you know what you are doing, leave it to a technican.

My Philips 50PF7321D/37 TV picture turns blue after about 30 secs of being on and I cant seem to get it to stop. Also when I turn the TV on it has a black screen with sound for about 15 secs before it

Unplug both the set and a box or receiver if used with the set, remove from power for several minutes and replug all to see if a reboot will help or not.

Will not power up. Stays in standby mode.

these particular tvs are very sensitive to voltage changes spikes etc.first turn off main power switch wait at least 30 sec if standby come on wait another 30 then turn off main power again and unplug tv for 1 min then plug in turn on main switch wait 30 sec then turn on tv with remote resets system.then buy a ups and always wait at least 30 min after turning tv off to turn back on if not causes power failure and after each press of power button wait 30 seconds before trying again lmk good luck

Turn power on, approx. 30 sec later it the power

It varies as to what is actually making the TV shut down. Shorting the connectors on the A.C. plug have nothing to do with it turning back on. Its just the fact you are unpugging it for a few moments.

My rca d52w26 turns on for 5 minutes then shuts off let it sit for 20 minutes it turns on for another 5 any ideas

Try to cleaning it from inside first thing without switching it on as sometimes power is stored for upto 30 -60 secs (POWER SWITCHED OFF)- maybe alot of dust is gathered & messing with circuits, use a hair dryer or a cloth - then switch it on.
if it doesnt work then it maybe a fualty transformer - its difficult to know without doing a few checks.

good luck
