Question about Canon PowerShot A95 Digital Camera

1 Answer

PS A95 Images Getting Blurry even after changing the CCD.

Hi,
My name is Abhijit. I posses a PS A95. Last year Jul 2007, I had this same problem of images getting blurred. So I had taken the camera to the Cannon Service Centre. And as mentioned by you, they told me its a CCD problem and would be replaced freely. And they did it. The Camera worked properly after that till 2 days before.
But Again the same problem cropped up. And Canon are not willing to repair, as they say the symptoms are same but its not a CCD problem, as its already replaced. Its something to do with inner shutter, which has gone faulty and the optical part requires a change, which is chargeable (approx Rs.6500). This was all told to me even without opening the camera. So I am in doubt. Has anybody faced similar problem twice. Is there any other remedy.

Call Canon and tell them you are interested in their "customer Loyalty program" and they will let you upgrade your camera to one of their newer models for about 1/3 the cost.
