My camera wont stay on even with new batteries

I have a hot pink polaroid 735 camera, last week it started saying "replace batteries" when we put new ones in. Then today it started shutting off when I try to take a picture. It will let me do everything else like view pics and the menu but if I touch the button to take a picture it shuts off and the lens doesnt go back in. I have to turn it back on and then turn it off to make the lens go back in. I bought it at Wal-Mart in April of this year, didnt know if it is still under warranty or not.

It's not exactly the same but, recently when i try to view the pics on my camera it beeps like the batteries r dead and shuts off. I can take pics but, can't view them for more than 5-10 seconds b4 it shuts off. I have changed my batteries and used many different types of batteries and it still happens. Also now my lens doesn't always shut and i have to turn it back on to get it to shut. I bought my camera last march at walgreens...when i called polaroid they said there was nothing they could do about it unless i wanted to spend more money to trade it in. What??? R u kidding me??? I won't buy a polaroid EVER again. My sony lasted for several years.

Even New Batteries Wont Work. Camera Shuts Down Immediately

Clean front and back + - terminals in camera careful with fine emery paper. Also, MAKE sure batteries are not loose if they are they will not make the connection. Fine jeweler screwdriver will pick them out enough.VERY CAREFUL.I truly think this is it.regards Billy

Polaroid PDC 5080

if you don't use it (press a button, take a pic., take a video, etc.) then it will turn off because say you put it in the case and forgot to turn it off, then it won't stay on and waste the battery.
