I'm assuming you're turning the volume on your external speakers but get no sound. In this case go to Control Panel > click or double click on "Sounds and Audio Devices" go to the "Volumes" tab and adjust volume or uncheck your "mute" box or click on "Advanced" button and make sure 'mute are uncheck.

The speaker with the red x on it means your sound is muted. Right click on that speaker and uncheck the mute button oh and make sure you give this solution a fixya rating. Thanks! :c)

The speakers are not working properly.i can hear the music if i am using head phones but with out head phones i cant hear anything.can you tell me what the problem is?

Good day, maybe your master volume is not configure correctly. Please double click the volume icon in the bottom right side of your screen, then click the option button. Then after that click the advance options, check all the box. After that you will see the volume control, then try to maximize all the volume. Hope this will help you out.

Sony Vaio vgc rb52 no sound ... speakers work/computer sound won't work?

Hello there... Check your PC's volume. You may or someone in your household has accidentally muted it. Unmute it or increase its volume (if you can't find the audio icon in the taskbar, proceed to the control panel - it's there), it maybe too low. Hope this helps... Ai :)

My volume has gone also cant get volume on

First check you dont have a red line through your speaker on your toolbar. If so click it and "UN-mute it.

If using external speakers then check that the speakers are plugged into the GREEN port on the laptop and that the speakers are powered up with the volume at about 1/2 way.

Open volume control.

When the box with all the sliders opens up click on OPTIONS (top left)
Click PROERTIES

Make sure that Volume controls, Wave, SW Synth, CD PLayer, Line IN, and MIC all show on there and that the volume sliders are about half way up.

Make sure noe of the sliders have ticks at the bottom, if so UNTICK them.

If any of those are missing click options then properties from the top left and put a tick besides any that were missing (nothing else unles you know you want that item)

Now close the slider box.

Put a normal music cd in your cd/dvd player on the computer and set it to play with windows media player.

You should now have sound out of the speakers.

If not double check that you have no problems with your hardware from the device manager.

Not playing

the volume control does give you more control on the volume of the speakers but yea if you just get a cable going from one end to the other and it doesnt have a volume control it will work no problem just control the volume from the task bar, it will work i can guarantee that because i have the same speakers and i tried it out and works perfectly fine, you cant tell the difference because there isnt one just control from task bar!

My volume on my computer dose not work could you help me i have a windows vista

goto where taskbar is and double click on the a silver ball or speaker looking button and that should pull up the volume mixer. now if the speaker or ball in the right bottom hand corner of the screen has a red circle with and slash throught it - that means its muted and unmute your speakers through the volume mixer. if there is no red circle the turn the volume up and you should hear sound. if you see none to those - them you may need to check if your speakers r intalled. also - make sure your external speakers are pluged into the green jack in the back of your computer

I just bought a gateway gt 5692 model pc and it came with two speakers which i cant get to work. theaudio leveler is moving and it says the device is working properly but i even hooked up my other computer...

Which port do you have it connected in on the back? It should be connected to the green port. Also make sure that you dont have the volume muted. You can do that by clicking the speaker in the bottom right corner next to the time. The click the speaker and the bottom of that window. Its muted when it has a red circle with a slash throught it. To toggle it all you have to do is click it.

Thanks

Phone wont ring? or paging system dosent work

looking at your phone, press the up volume button. It should be faint at first, and get louder. If you hear nothing, the speaker might have gone bad. Try another phone......
