ID Maker 2000 does not support Windows Vista. You can try to install using compatibility mode, but even if successful in installing there will likely be features which don't operate correctly. this version of CAD has and older engine and therefore it will not run on vista.( i got the same prob once) one way to use it is to make a partition on ur hard disk and use multiple operating system. i will advise u to install XP or win7 because 2004 works well on win7 and xp. i can assure u that the performance is better on win7 and applies for 2000,204 2006,2007,2010

I'm not 100% sure about vista because I hate it but I can help you copy all of your outlook express data to a CD\DVD disk & your address book. Your network settings for express account is a phone call to your ISP.
If vista's explorer is set up like XP you should be able to copy your data into outlook express.
Open all these folders on you XP system.
User name\Application Data\Identities\{xxxxxxx}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
Copy the Outlook Express folder to your CD.
User name\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book. Copy Address Book folder.
Making sure you have everything.
Open, User name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{xxxxxxx}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
Compair the two Outlook Express folder files. CD will not allow copy of same named folder.
If Vista's lay out is the same as XP than copy Outlook Express folder to Vista.
Suggest you have your current ISP setting /account setup before copying to Vista

Vista is 64 bit O/s & your cad is not supported the application & also your cad is not vista verson that,s why it is not working, if you want to use either change the O/s or cad.
