Question about Kenwood KDC-MP438U Car CD/ MP3 Player
I have just installed a KDC-MP438U, all wires are connected correct and have been checked with a meter. red to switch, yellow to battery, black to good ground. The unit acts as if there is no power to it,dead, nothing. I have tested power at the plug as it goes into the unit and power is there, fuse is good and tests positive for power present on both legs. I have 3 of these same units and pluged another into the wired plug for the back of the unit and the second unit will not work either. I tried the reset button and all kinds of buttons on the face, nothing. Any help, ideas?
The speaker wires are very sensitive. You need to make sure that they are not grounding out. Once the unit senses this it will shut off. Pull the plug out of the back and start over.
