PRODUCT - FJDR1666W Zanussi front end washing machine
When the washer is turned on, with a load inside, you can hear the water pump pumping but there is no water going inside the drum. I then open the washing detergent tray, pour about 3 litres of water inside, and the machine works correctly thereafter. Please can you advise as to what the problem could be.

noise and there's water present, you may need to completely replace the

Open the panel at the bottom right of the front of the washer. Then pull out the drain hose and pull the plug from its end - this will drain most of the water. Then the filter turns anti-clockwise - if it is too stiff to turn by hand I use an open set of pliers or strong scissors to give more grip (It may be an idea to put a cloth between the pliers/scissors and the filter to offer some protection.
indicated low water pressure from your external supply or blocked filters in the fill hose. turn water off, remove hose and check filter in end of hose - it is just a bit of gauze. also look into the valve and clean out if needed
