My Lenovo (Y410) attempts to boot windows, but it reports an error and then continuely restarts. Hit F8 during the boot process to bring up special boot features like Safe Mode. With Windows 8 you can open a search bar and type "Startup". Select Change Advanced Startup Settings". Select Safe Mode. Reboot.
You need to send in the computer to Lenovo depot repair and have the board re-flashed. This is the procedure mandated by Lenovo for this kind of issue. Fo inquiries, you may call Lenovo at 18774536686.
Try going into device manager click start then control panel then system they hardware then device manager if there is a yellow !mark next to sound then use the properties tab to reinstall the the driver Hope this helps
