My LOGIK fan just stopped working so I wanted to know what would be the problem and where and how to I fix it

If it makes a pulsing sound then the motor has probably seized/burnt out. If you're good with electronics then unplug it from the wall and take it apart and inspect the motor. Otherwise just throw it in the bin and buy another as motors need careful repairs

My fridge is not keeping cold anymore. fans do not work. but all lights works.?? do i need a new motor??

Fan could be bad or temperature control circuit could be burned out. You can get the service manual from Sears Parts Direct. Your cooling coils in the freezer area could be iced over also if the deicing heater is burnt out. You need the schematic and some electrical circuit knowledge to troubleshoot the problem yourself. If you think you need a new compressor motor, you probably ought to consider buying another refrigerator.

Lasko fan motor overheating

BUY A NEW ONE . YOUR IS TOTALLY FRIED and not worth fixing.
read below--same problem,same advise.

*(your daughter burnt out your fan motor windings.)*
you have 2 options.
1. buy a new fan. at today's prices, this is your best & easiest option But, you have to learn to be a comparitive shopper. start by going to amazon.com & looking at the fans ,the fan prices and if you get free shipping or have to pay and how much 4 the shipping. Next, go to ebay.com and type the name & model of the fan you are interested in. you may get an operitunity to buy a used fan there at a reduced price. note this down[fan info] on paper but remember that ebay usually has only 1 or 2 of these items , and if you come back 2 days later, the add is gone . Ebay has a buy it now price and an auction price. I hate auctions, because you have to wait 7 or 10 days for the auction to be over & you might not get the item if some one else outbids you and you dont get the item for 3 weeks after the auction first started. If you really dont need something & dont mind waiting a month, that might be fun for some people, but not me. I need something ,i want it yesterday.I dont need something,i forget about it altogether. get at least 3 prices before buying because that way ,you at least have some idea of what the item is going for.SERIOUS SHOPPERS, who only want to buy for bottom $, go to google.com--or -bing.com or-yahoo.com--or ask.com & type the make & model # of the item they are looking for a deal on into the search box. You might have to go to 15 or 20 web sites, but somewhere along all that
searching, you will find your item drastically discounted.
True example, I went to home depot & looked at a 2013 homelite,16 inch, 42 cc gasoline chain saw for $179.99 plus 6.35% sales tax. after about 3 hours searching on the internet with google and bing, I bought that saw ,advertised as being
factory reconditioned for $78.65 with free shipping to first time buyers. I got a brand new ,never run, not a scratch on it anywheres gas chain saw and saved $100.00 from home depots price. It was the same year, make and model as home depot's 179.99 saw ,delevered free to my door for $78.65
that is why i dont recommend that you attempt to replace the burnt out fan motor. repair parts distrributors charge you at least twice what they paid for the part. if the motor cost them $50.00 they want between $100.00 to $139.95 for it. and then ,you still need to pay the repairman his time & labor.
If you shop like i told you to, you can probably replace the fan with a new one ,for 1/2 of what you originally paid for it, through the power of internet search engines. PS also a good place to ask questions, get answers and learn things by reading previously writen articles about whatever you are inquiring about.
customer reviews at amazon.com are good to learn about something youthink you might buy. You find out if others love it or if it is a piece of junk. read both the good reviews and the bad reviews. I like to read the bad reviews first, to get an idea whats bad about the item, I may look for a higher quality brand if the cheap one has too many bad reviews.
BE AN INFORMED CONSUMER,BEFORE PURCHASING.

The fan is not working, completely off. no air, air conditioning doesn't come on

Check the fuse for the blower motor. (fan motor). If it isblown, change it. If it's not, you may need a new fan motor. Check to see if power is present at the fan motor. If it is, then the motor is probably burnt out.

Rudd central unit , turn A/C on[therm. inside] all U can hear is a Buzzing noise coming from the outside unit , found that [1] capacitor wire had been BURNT , changed wire , then changed capacitor , turned...

Hello
Before you buy a new condensor fan motor check the contacts to the motor are not worn or pitted.

Hold or push the contactor in by using an insulated screwdriver and see if the fan motor turns.

Also the start cap you bought? was it the correct one meaning mfd micrfarad?

If all the above checks out ok then you need a fan motor, you can wire the motor direct to check it also.

From what you describe it sounds like the fan motor is burnt up and worn out,not uncommon.

Air conditioner comes on but does not blow air out

if the AC is coming on with no air output the problem is that although the compressor is running - the fan motor is not.

This can be because of a 'switch' malfunction, a wire burnt into, a bad fan capacitor or a bad motor.

Of the four possibilities the easiest two to identify are the 'wire that has burnt into,' and a bad fan capacitor. A wire that is burnt into is obvious and so is (sometimes) a bad fan capacitor. A fan capacitor which btw - is a little module (usually gray or silver in color) with wires attached to it. I would check all my wires to it and to the fan motor and anywhere else I could in the unit. Also examine the fan capacitor itself - looking for burnt damage or a 'bulge' in the module which are direct symptoms of a bad fan capacitor.

If it's the capacitor you can remove it making sure you mark your wires in such a way you can connect them up after acquiring a new capacitor.

You can buy capacitors at any Air Conditining Supply house - and they will run about $15-$25 or less.

A bad motor is usually indicated by the motor 'not starting/running' and/or 'the motor being hot to the touch' - there's not much that can be done these days if the motor is bad but replace it. And unless you're really mechanicaly inclined and have plenty of specility tools I would not attempt it. A Service Tech is the best bet here, and you're looking at a repair bill of around $150-$250.

A 'switch' problem is really not that likely but for a nominal fee (usually around $35-$50 you can buy a switch and change out the old one. Like I said this is not likely the problem and I would probably not do this on a hunch.

good luck!
