Press the SURR button until you get sound on all five speakers. If you don't get sound on all 5, there are a few possibilities:
1) the program you are watching only gets stereo sound or lower (only two or one speaker will play in this case)
2) you need to get a digital audio cable instead of using the red/white AV cable
3) a setting on the TV, cable, or satellite box needs to be changed to allow surround sound in full

My Philips HTS3566D home theater stereo system speakers do not work. Sound comes from the tv, but not from the speakers that came with the Philips unit. I've tried different modes (party, dolby, etc.)...

I have the same problem. The front right and left chanels are fucked up while the center and rear right and left are working normally. I can't imagine what's the problem.

I have no sound :(

If the (internal) radio doesn't produce sound it's not signal cables. What cables were you exchanging?

This sounds like a basic NO SOUND problem.

How does it fare when you run speaker setup?

How about the MUTE button?????

cross check the audio device settings. check the audio level of each channels.
Also try exchanging the speakers whether the speaker itself is damaged.

Hope this helped.

Not getting full 5.1 sound from PC to surround sound system

well if your motherboard supports your speekers it shoud run corectlly, but if not, you shoud get a special sound card with cd, which will allow you to use your speakers. if you already have that sound card and installed drivers you should go to your sound card control pannel and make changes there to use all your sound system speakers.

Sound only in 1 Speaker Instead of Two

not sure if this will help, go to your control panel and then to your sound and audio devices, on the volume tab check to see if both speakers are set to high on the speaker volume option

hope it helps

Speaker Problem

Try swapping the speakers to the opposite channels (left and right) and see if the problem is on the same side. If it is, then you may have a bad channel in your amplifier/receiver.

No sound

Most computers use the GREEN output jack on the sound card for playback...plug your headphones in the back where the speakers go...sound? Yes...then verify you ahve the speaker system put together correctly...bet you don't...note: self powered speakers must be plugged in to work (electrical plugged in). If no...then you got a bigger fish to fry... Good lUck
