Sliver L7 wont format 512mb micro sd card

My new motorola sliver l7 wont format my 512mb micro sd card.  It tells me that the format has failed, about 25 times.  I reset the factory settings and it didnt help.  I tried to format the card using a mac and a pc and the phone keeps telling me it is unformatted.  The SD card works like a charm in my canon digital camera so the card is not at fault.  Thanks for any help that can be given.

Some song formats aren't supported by some MP3 players. You can convert those songs that aren't compatible by using one of the loads of audio converters available online. Use a search engine to find the software that best fits your needs and you should be up and running in no time.

moz-screenshot-1.jpgmoz-screenshot-2.jpgHI dude,
to bypass the security, i hv got a trick.
When u r asked for security code,
press menu button(above the directional keys) for 3-4 seconds. if u hv done properly the gap for 4 digits will be changed to 6 digits slot. Now enter 000000 (six zero). now u will bypass the security code. By same process u can change or reset security code from settings.

SOURCE: motorola L7 bluetooth, micro sd problem

Hi,

If bluetooth has failed to turn on,then it can be suffering from either the hardware or software problem.

you also said that mobile is also turning off, when you insert microsd card.

For that,

1. Try any other microsd card and see if the mobile works good.
If this works, then the fault is with the microsd card.
2. There are chances, that there may be virus in the microsd card that can cause this problem. Try to format it.
3. Also you can try your microsd card with other mobiles and see how it goes.

Last try is you can reset your phone and see, but have a back up of all the datas in your mobile before reset.

If none of the above works well, then you have give to the Motorola service center
or visit,
www.motorola.com/products.jsp
to find the nearest service center.

Hope my info helps you,
Thanx for using fixya.

What type of FAT should I format the 2 Gb Micro SD (L7)

If you format it through PC then also you need to format it again in mobile itself. So format it in Mobile only..

Memory card will not format

No. The maximum size of memory card supported by this model is 1GB microSD type only. So it wont recognize your 2 GB memory card.

Motorola SLVR won't format my memory card.

I am not sure this will work, just a suggestion

Try inserting the micro sd card in the larger sd adapter that will allow you to put it into your computer reader. Try formatting it there instead
