Question about Jura Capresso C1000 Espresso & Coffee Maker
Do you repair Jura Capresso machines? If so, how much would you charge and where are you located? I am in Las Vegas. The machine is a E8 and it's no longer grinding beans and the machine will no longer rinse at the start and end of cycle. It has also said Error 8 or something like that before. It's making a pretty horrible sound when it attempts to rinse. Capresso wants 200 bucks to repair. What would you charge?? Please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks!

Great solution - solved 80% of the problem I had - would also add to check the pressure relief valve (back of pump where water lines to thermo blocks attach). Noticed presure was still low after cleaning solenoid. Ran steam with cover off top (cup warmer plate) and notice water flow in clear line at top (you will see the line). Went to pump, pulled off hose block at back of pump, and popped (carefully) off the black cap which separates the water to the brewer from the steamer. Cleaned this needle and seat, and the spring too, and the pressure now is extremely high at at the steamer wand. 100% fix now.

I am also experiencing error 8. This a great coffee maker but after several years of use following the normal cleaning instructions just isn't enough. I can hear the machine straining after making a cup. I want to clean all parts inside, I got the front off and can lift the top a little. However there are what looks like 4 rivets on the back 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom. I cannot see how to get the top off and am afraid of breaking it.
Do you have any instructions on how to do this? Or can you tell me how to get the top off?
