I downloaded the removal tool from symantec and it would not run unless i first removed version of ghost by going to add/remove programs. problem is that no listing of any norton or symantec products show up in add/remove programs. is there a higher strength version of this removal tool? i understand that references to ghost must exist in registry and need to be removed but i was hoping the removal tool would accomplish this
If you tried removing Ghost yourself by deleting foulder or files then it will not appear in the add/remove list. Try reinstalling it and then using removal tool. Make sure you have correct one for version and your OS. My advice is stay away from Norton products, they severely slow down performance and hinder daily activities. There are free tools online that work much better.

1st drive full, so used Norton14 drive copy on to a usb drive. Now with drives swaped around, the drive in laptop (labeled as G:) boots a follows.
1) logon screen, 2) Preparing Desktop and then 3) a blank desktop (blue in color). And that's it.
Now when I also hook up the usb drive (which now contains the old C: drive) we boot up just fine because we now have the drive defined as drive C: connected to system.
How do we change the drive letters with out hoseing everything up to allow the new drive to become the C: boot drive. Then I can format the old drive for data backup use.
thank you.

I loaded the norton removal tool and upon running file i got message: "before you can run removal tool you need to remove norton ghost by going to the add/remove programs." Problem is that there is no listing of any norton products are listed in add/remove programs. I understand that references must exist in the registry of Ghost but i was hoping that the norton removal tool would clean this up. Is there a "higher strength" version of this removal tool?

Ghost 14 has an annoying characteristic that Ghost 10 - which I just upgraded from - did not have. I run an "auto incremental recovery point" job each night at 4AM. Normally the created file is in the area of 200MB but now and then the file will come in at 2 or 3 or 4GB. There is no consolidation here - this is just a regular incremental. The implication is that a large volume of files got modified and so Ghost picked them up into the incremental. I see no reason for this to be the case. My PC operates pretty much as it did when Ghost 10 was installed and this never happened with 10. I think Ghost 14 is getting confused by something. Any thoughts? Is this a bug or a side effect of something else or what? Anyone else seeing this behavior? Ideas would be appreciated.
