I have power to the unit (led light on front will light); however the unit will not turn on. When we press the power button on the remote the red light blinks and then turns off and does nothing. The unit still will not power on.

Try a reset. Start by unplugging for 1 minute, then plug back in & if still won't restart try the following. If none of the following work, you will need a technician.

could be a lamp problem, turn the set off, watch the front led light next to LAMP, count how many flashes in sequence, eg. 2 flashes indicate lamp problem, 3 flashes internal overheat problem. if a orange light flashes next to POWER indicator you have a power malfunction.
Yes,the LED power lite on the front panel stable?Yes,mean the DM power supply board is good.LED power like blinking, mean the DM power supply board is dead.DM power supply is good, still making that clicking sound, when turn on.Mean ur Blast board is dead, that the board that help to light up the projection lamp.
On the front video input terminals there is a small hole to the left of the terminals use a small thin metal rod or paper clip to push the factory mode button.
7.1.4 The method of power-on (for service)
When removes the Front Grille, remove the
connectors from POWER SW Assy, FRONT INPUT
Assy and FRONT LED Assy and remove the Grille.
This set is not turned on the power in the state that
removed the connectors.
At this time, connect a connector that connected to
the POWER SW Assy to the SHORT Assy, and can
turn the MAIN POWER SW to ON.
Be careful there is a case to be turned on the power
in the state that front side of this set opens.
In addition, the front input and front key do not work
because each Assy does not connect it, but the
remote control unit works in the same way normally.
There is a Factory Key on the FRONT LED Assy.
When enter the Factory mode, transfer a code with
the remote control unit or connect the FRONT LED
Assy. (Turn the Main Power SW to OFF when

Unplug the unit for 5 minutes then plug it again. Turn it on. If it
does not power up, press the SYSTEM RESET button on the front panel
with a pointed object such as the point of a pencil or end tip of a
paper clip. The green LED light will flash quickly for about a minute
then stops. You may turn on the TV then. The changes you made most
recently, before using SYSTEM RESET, may be lost. Changes you made previously, however, are not lost.
This unit, when first plugged in or after power interuption takes 70 to 90 seconds for the digital module to boot up. During the time the LED blinks green and the set will not respond to anything. After the appropriate amount of time the blinking should stop and the set should operate normally. If the blinking never stops then you have to have the Digital Module repaired.
Good Day, cutito35;
1. This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature; this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds. 2. (Power LED may be on after plug in) check for no less than 4.4 volts DC at pin 3 of PC9A21 on the Power PCB, if low or missing replace PC9A21 part # 268P058020.
2.This model is also equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-2. Check for open fuses F9A04 and F9A05 part # 283P144080 on the +24 and -24 volt lines. If the fuses are open the convergence output circuit would be suspect. 2. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-1. At power on check for 12-volts DC at connector KH pin 8, if missing check IC9C51 part # 270P990010 and L9C52 part # 441D009020 on the Signal PCB. Good Luck, big IRISH.
