How do you take a black and white photo with olympus tg-310?

The TG-310 does not have any way of taking black&white photos, nor does it offer a method to convert photos to black&white.
However, you can convert a color photo to black&white (or sepia, or cyanotype, or a lot of other effects) using just about any photo editing program on a computer. This actually gives you more control over the conversion, as you can control things like contrast and brightness.

How do i take a black and white and sepia photo on olympus SP800UZ

The SP 800UZ doesn't have a black-and-white or sepia mode. You can convert a color picture to black-and-white or sepia by editing the picture on the camera. Full details are in the "Edit" section of the manual (page 38 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at
http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/oima_cckb/SP-800UZ_Instruction_Manual_EN.pdf

In general, you're better off converting to black-and-white or sepia using photo editing software on a computer rather than doing it on the camera. The computer will give you much better control over things like brightness and contrast.

How do you take black and white pictures?

Press MENU to display the menu, then select the Shooting menu.

The first item should be "Color", which lets you select the color mode. You can choose B&W for black-and-white or Sepia for sepia-toned.

Take a look under "Shooting Menu" in your manual. It's on page 32 in my copy.

Olympus FE 330

Unfortunately the camera does not have a menu option to take images in black or white or sepia. You can take them in color and then using photo editing software modify the image to be monotone or sepia in color.

Sony DSC T77 How to Setup Black and white mode

Hi Allonsoma,

What the manual doesn't tell you is that you need to change the REC mode first to be able to fint the buttons in MENU.

Fist go into the REC mode (the one above menu when taking a photo). Change this to PGM and click OK. Now go into MENU, on the 3/4 page second button down should be a box with a + in the corner. This is the colour mode option. You can now change to vivid, sepia or black and white.

Hope this helps.
