Problem for HP PSC 1315 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Hp psc 1315 printer doesn't scan using my new computer with vista
operating system, is there a patch to fix the problem??

- i am unable to access a scan mode from the computer to scan pictures or documents to the computer, the scanner works to reproduce a document but i can't scan it to the computer to send it as an e-mail.Clarification Request

Is the windows mail (outlook) is configured in your PC?...are u able to scan and save the picture to the computer, rather sending email?

Is there any error messages while scanning? Patch are there depending on the error message that you get.

Try this
1.Right click on MY computer ->Properties->Hardware->Device manager.
2.You will get Device manager window popping out.
3.Scroll down to "Universal Serial BUS controllers".Click on the (+) sign.
4.Check for the "USB Composite Device" and right click on it, click Uninstall.(IMPORTANT NOTE:wE HAVE TO UNINSTALL THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, TO KNOW WHETHER IS THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, RIGHT CLICK ON USB COMPOSITE DEVICE AND PROPERTIES,look for wat location says, Eg -LOCATION : HP DESKJET F2100
5.Disconnect the USB and reboot the PC.
6.Connect the USB after reboot, you will get popup "Found new hardware".Then the Drivers will be installed Automatically.
