Question about Fuji FinePix F420 Digital Camera
go into the setup menu ("set") by pressing the menu button, and look for the picture of a little man yelling (he's speaking). That's the language set-up. Set it for english.
The self-timer is accessed through the arrow dial. The little picture of the clock at the bottom of the dial is the timer setting. The camera must be in the shooting mode to use the timer, not in playback. Here's a link to the owner's manual http://www.fujifilm.ca/x3717.xml

Go to google translate and press the menu button on your camera. Type in language and translate into english. You should be able to highlight the proper sub menu to change the setting from there.

Press MENU/OK to open the menu. Use the up/down-arrows to navigate to Setup (it should be the last item, marked SET) and press right-arrow. Use the right/left arrows to select Setup2 (the wrench with the digit 2) and press down-arrow. Use the up/down arrows to navigate to an entry marked with LANG and press right-arrow. Select "English" and press MENU/OK to confirm.

SOURCE: i can't change the language
Press the menu button and go to settings (it should have an icon that looks like tools) then find the language setting (which may have a flag icon) if you don't see a flag look for a setting that says Nihon or looks either like 3 horizontal marks above a box(language) or a box with 3 horizontal marks inside that have a vertical mark down the middle(country). If you find this setting scroll through it to find English or USA.
