Question about Whirlpool 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range - White-on-White
While cooking on the stove and using the oven, the "door" light came on and it started beeping. Opening the door and closing it didn't help, unplugging it didn't help and it shows the F7. I tried kicking it and spitting on it to no avail. Suggestions?
Sounds like the igniter is not operating at full capacity. What happens is that the oven does not light when it should. Instead, the oven is cooling down much too far so when the oven does light it has too heat more rapidly. This causes the outside to brown/burn long before it should.

SOURCE: Oven too hot!!
sounds like a bad oven temp sensor, small 3-6 inch, metal probe in upper left corner of inner cavity, 2 screws and the sensor should pull right out, replace you should be fine

SOURCE: OVEN TURNS ON BUT WONT HEAT UP.
If your electric oven is not heating then you probably have a bad heating element in your oven. This is not that hard to fix yourself...
