RUN DLL ERROR LOADING C:/windows/system32/OVTFboot.dll The specified module could not be found Having same problem during installation of 35mm slide scanner. Managed to download a copy of OVTFBoot.dll from "Driver Agent" but install failed again with message: "Missing entry: OV550Start" I suspect that the correct driver is not included on the installation diskette provided by the manufacturer. Having same problem trying to use VuPoint Solutions FILMSCANNER FS-C1-VP...also unable to unzip driver downloaded from their website.

There is software that is supposed to come with the 35mm slide scanner called OVT Scanner. If you are running an Operating System other than XP, it will not install no matter how hard you try. The company has not developed a fix for the Windows Vista issue. If you are running Windows XP, go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and see if OVT Scanner is on your program list. If it is, uninstall it, then go to the VuPoint website and reinstall the OVT Scanner software. If it is not installed, go to the VuPoint website and download/install the OVT Scanner program.
The VuPoint FS-C1-VP is completely incompatible with Operating Systems other than Windows XP – if you are running Vista, the installation will not work. If you are running Windows XP, download the evaluation version of WinZip so that you will be able to unzip the file containing the correct drivers.
Hope this help!

Contact the maker of the scanner for the correct file, they will most likely send it to you and get it working.

Icuin36.dll wont load of can not be found

Download the file from this site http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?icuin36, unzip it and paste in into the system32 root folder. You'll have to do this using another pc. Mount your hard drive on another pc, locate the C:\windows\system32 folder and paste the unzipped file (icuin36.dll), turn off the Pc and remove your hard drive and again remount on your Pc, now Power on your system, it'll be ok. You can also do this without using another Pc, but you have to know how to use command prompt. Good luck.

RUN DLL ERROR

IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER COMPUTER IT WOULD BE EASIER, IF NOT YOU WILL HAVE TO PRINT OUT THE INSTALLMENT DIRECTIONS FOR ELIMINATION OF THE ERROR PROMPT. IT'S TIME CONSUMING SO IF YOU ARE IN A RUSH, FORGET IT.(UNLESS YOU ARE A COMPUTER GEEK) :) YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO ACCESS WINDOWS FROM THE COMPUTER WITH THE ERROR, GO TO ANOTHER COMPUTER, PULL UP WINDOWS SUPPORT, THERE'S A SECTION THERE FOR ERRORS, IF YOU DON'T SEE IT RIGHT OFF, JUST DO SEARCH ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE BAR, "DLL" OR "ERRORS" ANY OF THESE WILL PULL UP YOUR FIX. PRINT 'EM, APPLY, AND YOU'RE UP N RUNNING!!!

OVTFBoot.dll

OK ya must be trying to install into Vista? anyway whats happening is ya NOT using Admin mode... and that DLL isn't being allowed to be put in the system32 dir... so disable UAC open admin prompt and find it, & copy .. so after ya install find the DLL on the install media .. then copy and paste it to ya windows\system32\ dir.. register it if reqiured should be all good.

Better still install properly with admin rights and such. GL

Most times DLL errors arise from a file being corrupted on your hard drive and there's a relatively easy fix for it.

the best solution is to re-install the drivers for your specific printer either from the disc provided by the manufacturer or from a downloaded file from the manufacturer's website.
