Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV
No. Everything was fine other than the message saying the lamps life has expired. then one day the tv was not turning on. I looked at the lamp and it was bad. After putting the new lamp in is when this problem began. I plan to open up the back tomorrow and look at the capacitors. Do you know where I should look for this DM module. Also someone else has said the chassis needs to be rebuilt. What do you think of this?
The DM is the board that has the cable card slot on it. to get to it you have to take out the chassis (you can find instructions at www.tv-techs.com) take off the shields (be carefull they are sharp) take off the terminal board, and the FMT board, and there it is.
while you have it apart chech the caps on the power board and the FMT board for pregnant caps. sadly, replacing the 1000uf caps only corrects about 1 in 10 sets.
