Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
I have an older Gateway that has been updated and has Windows ME installed, I want to install Windows XP home version but am not sure how to proceed. Should I remove the ME before installing or can it be installed overriding the ME installation?
Make sure you back up any important files on that gateway machine before you install Windows XP Home because you may lose some during installation. You definitely will lose files if you chose to format the hard drive during your installation of XP which is recommended. After you backup, everything should be a breeze.

Tips for a great answer:

The software Broderbund
3D Home Architect Deluxe 5.0 might works with the earlier version of Windows
and does not work with the latest version. Check out the system requirement for
the software and its says its for windows 98, 2000 & Xp hence the updated
drivers for the suite are not released hence it would not be able to install it
on New windows version.
