Leaking from the Bottom of the Washer onto the floor

Every once in a while the washer will leak onto the floor. I checked the drain hose and water suply. There is no water coming from there. It is coming from underneath? What causes this and how can I fix it?

Drain Pump If the washer is leaking water the drain pump might have a hole or crack. Or, the bearings might be worn out. Replace the drain pump if it is leaking water, they're not repairable
Tub Seal and Bearing Kit If the washer is leaking water the tub seal and bearing might have a tear or rip and is letting water leak past. The tub seal and bearing can be replaced. This is common and relatively easy to replace.

Tub to Pump Hose If the washer is leaking water the hose from the tub to the pump might be split or torn. Don't try to cut off the bad piece of hose and stretch it to fit the pump, this will put strain on the remainder of the hose and may cause a sudden and complete failure of the hose which will dump potentially hundreds or thousands of gallons of water onto the floor because the next time the washer tries to fill all of the water will end up on the floor and so the washer will never shut off the valve. Any time there is a damaged hose, replace it completely with the OEM part.

Washing Machine Fill Hose If the washer is leaking water, check the fill hoses on the back of the washer, this is the most common place for water to leak. If the washer still has the original black rubber fill hoses replace them with stainless steel or some other, more durable hose.

Drain Hose If the washer is leaking water check the drain hose. The most common places for the hose to spring a leak is from the connection to the pump out to the back of the washer. Another common occurrence is when the washer gets pushed too far back against the wall.

Washer and dryer stackable unit. water is leaking from somewhere onto the floor causing floor swelling. what could be the problem?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the sight. You need to make sure your drain hose is not clogged up or your hoses are not damaged. You need to check the water pump also. It may be clogged or leaking from the pump area. Make sure the tub is not cracked or damaged, causing water to run out. Your best bet is starting the washer while you are viewing the hoses and the pump. You should be able to find the leak this way.

Washer leaking water while spinning

Check the drain hose where it leaves the machine, if the square section of it is not in the plastic housing it will cut on the cabinet, if this has happened replace the hose they are difficult to repair, Other possibilities, pump is leaking, and check that the inlet hoses are not leaking and have washers in every connection.

WATER JUST KEEPS RUNNING OUT AND NOT FILLING THE WASHER

If the water is running out the drain (not leaking onto the floor) make sure the drain pipe the hose goes into is at least 34 inches higher than the bottom of the washer, and that it is not sealed. This will prevent syphoning.

Need to check drain pump and its hose connections. If its not from the drum seal then that's usually where the leaks occur.

GE top load washer leaks on floor

Check your hoses mostly the small hose going from the side of the tub to the water switch these come off a lot. you need to look and see if the seal is leaking from the center of the tub you do this by putting water in the tub and just looking around the bottom of the tub and transmission
