Question about Maytag Performa PAV2200

1 Answer

Maytag performa the other night doing a load of laundry, noticed water would not stop running, went all over. Hose is already higher than water level,, wondering if water level sensor is the problem or if there is something else. And if this is the culprit how do you replace it.

Does the water overflow from the waser. also try and fill the washer up with water and when you feel it should be filled to capacity shut the water off to the washer. and turn off the power. After you have done that turn the water back on and turn the power back on to the washer if the water stops running it could be your water valve and is easily replaced. if the water continues to run it could be the pressure switch (water level switch) or it could be a hole in the pressure switch hose.

My Maytag Performa washing machine will not stop filling with water and start the next cycle

you need to unplug it from the power when it does that to see if it stops filling. That will tell you if it is a valve issue or a problem with the controller

Door wont open laundry stuck in there now since Friday night...This product S-----!! NOT TO MENTION ALL THE MOLD ISSUES ALREADY...

you can use a wet dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose to remove the water.
if the water comes out fairly rapidly you may need to replace the drain pump.

once the water has been removed you can open the door and remove the clothes.after everything is removed you need to remove both the hoses from the drain pump and look in it for any thing that will stop it from turning and or blocking the drain pump.

Oh Mr. Guru,please help!

for the second problem wher the water runs and never reaches level, check to make sure the drain hose is higher than the water level. if you allow the drain hose to come out of the machine and lay right on the floor with out first coming up above the height of the tub, the water will run out as fast as it comes in. hope this helps, let me know

Maytag Washer overflowwing

I had the same problem. My whole basement flooded. Inside the back (you can see it thru a small hole 1/2 way up on right) a small white hose connects to the water shut off collection area. This hose carries the water from the tub to the collection area and tells the machine to cut off for the size of load selected. Mine had come undone and so the machine could not sense it was full and the water poured all out the bottom. I simply removed the small gray panel at the bottom on the back and reached up inside to reconnect.

Maytag Performa washer Waterlevel/agitator problem

CHECK your stand pipe hasn't fell over (the one the drain hose goes to when emptying)If not,Either the pressure switch is broke or there is a hole or split in the pressure switch rubber hose. This switch stops the water when it reaches required level.
