Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
Dial directly on it. Thought it was the timer; but replacing the timer did not solve the problem. At this point, the only way to empty water is by hand. Has always been slow in moving through the cycles, but appears to only fill and agitate at this time. Putting dial on rinse will agitate; but nothing more. Placing it on spin does nothing. Won't go through cycle on its own. After agitating, just sits there.
If it will not spin/drain/advance timer or make any noise when you set it to do these options your problem is the lid switch. Your washer thinks the lid is up so it wont run as a saftey measure. You can order and install this item and its pretty easy and very common.
