Question about Computers & Internet
You need to check in the bios what does it recognized as CD or DVD. The cable which is attached to your DVD drive is installed at proper place on motherboard. May be your motherboard is old doesn't recognize DVD drives. Update your bios and driver for the dvd player. All the best.

I came across this a few yars back, but i cant for the life of me think how i solved it, i think you have to right click on the drive in my compuer, click properties, and on the recording tab make sure the first checkbox is checked.
I also had this problem on an LG drive.
