I try to delete pics from my camera and it says the pics are protected what does that mean and how can i earse them from my camera?

I'm sorry no one answered your easy question in 22 days, but here is an answer: I don't think there's a single manufacturer that makes this clear. But let me tell you their little secret... whatever you did to protect it - do it again. It's a toggle function! They wouldn't want to put "protect/unprotect" in the menu system instead of just "protect", it might look 'cluttered'. Of course, it might be more useful too. If you have trouble finding the 'protect' function (it'll be in the playback menu) then post back and I'll download the manual and find it for you.

When I turn on my Canon PC 1130 to take a picture, the lcd screen and view finder just show a black screen. Camera is working fine in the play mode. Please help.

Set the camera in TV mode, (delayed shutter mode) set the shutter at 15 sec, click to take a picture and during that 15 secs (like, after 7 seconds) open the battery compartment which cuts contact with the battery circuit. Close the battery cover. At this point the camera works fine ... but only temporarily.... Here is the key to the permanent fix. While the camera is working via the temporary fix, take many, many pictures. Hundreds! I probably snapped 400-600 pics. The idea is to wear down the little patches of hardened oil on the shutter blades. For the next three days I took hundreds of pics each day. Basically, I just aimed the camera at the wall or whatever and snapped off several hundred pics.

Problems with kodak v1073 focusing, my camera tries to focus on an object and you can hear it focusing, but it is a 50/50 chance of getting a clear pic.

Cant do anything the padlock sign is on and I dont know how to remove it so I can upload my pics to pc thanks averil, greece

It sounds like you have put the photo's into a protected state.
According to Pentax guides, you may have inadvertantly set it to protect all photo's. To release this you need to:

Set the mode dial to >
Press the key/padlock sign button twice
Select Unprotect using the 4 way control pad
Press ok.

To unprotect a single photo

Set the mode dial to > and select the individual photo
Press the key padlock sign button once
Select Unprotect using the 4 way control pad
Press ok.

Hope that helps!

Unprotecting pictures

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/tutorials/v1073/index.jhtml Go to the picture you protected in your review. (that's the Arrow Play Button) Find the photo then press the menu button. (that's the second button down out of the three that are back there) A menu will appear on the screen, over the top of the photo you want to unprotect. Tap the down arrow, once. You'll see Protect in the list. By tapping it you can turn on and off the protect on your photos. The link above is the Kodak site that runs a small demo on how to do this.
