This exact problem happened to me! I tried all the things, restoring, etc. I finally gave up and brought it to the Genius bar at Apple's store. He looked at it, said, "let me try to restore it." and after that clearly didn't work, he replaced my iPhone for free!

Hope you get the same I did.

My iphone wont slide to unlock, I dont know what to do??

First try to reset the setting. If resetting wont work, then your touchpad is faulty.
Another way is to press the power button to go into standby mode. and turn it up again. see if the touch is responding.
Else, reset the entire setting, just like formatting it and restoring to the previous version.
If all fails, then you're doom. you'll need a new touchscreen.

Do note that Iphone comes with LCD and touchpad. these are two diff things.
You might need to replace it.

Hey, there seems to be something wrong with the touch detection. Id recommend you take it to a professional or the shop where you bought it for warranty repairs.

My iphone wont respond to touch i cant use it

try hard reset (hold down the power button and the central button until you see Apple logo on screen). If this wont help then use RESTORE.

The touch screen on my iphone 3g wont work

This is what you should do:
Press and hold both the power and the home button until the Apple logo comes up. Release the buttons at that point.
That way, you will force restart your device and it should respond to your touch.

The tuch pad is not working plz help

I recommend you to uninstall and reinstall the touchpad drivers from Device Manager.
Press Windows Key and R key.
Type devmgmt.msc and click on OK.
In the Device Manager expand Mouse and other pointing devices.
Right click on touchpad and select Uninstall.
Right click on the touchpad now and select scan for hardware changes.
You can even try to reinstall the new touchpad drivers for your notebook model from acer support website.
For Rundll has stopped working, follow the steps in the below weblink:

Iphone touchpad not working

Hi devanshu-

I have a smiliar problem but only because I was a bit of a twit and dropped my iPhone on the cement and thus, breaking the screen. So now part of my screen wont accept the touch.

If you did not drop your iphone, there are some other possible reasons:
  1. If you have more than one finger touching at one time (unless doing that cool little double finger zoom in), the touchpad will not respond. I have caught myself doing this on accident if I am holding it so my thumb is touching part of the screen as I am trying to make a call or write a text.
  2. The touch sensor is malfunctioning. Sure, this could be a software problem (which is why I am including the directions for the dreaded restore below), but the iPhones touch sensor seems to be a bit sketchy in both the 2gs and 3gs. Since you just bought it, it should be under manufacturer warranty for a year. Go to cingular's website (used to work for cingular/at&t and know that if you go to the store, the procedure is to you to call the 888 number with a smile and do nothing else), get the warranty/customer service number and get them to replace it.
The only bad side to either resetting or replacing your phone is that you will lose your contacts. But, if you choose to try this route (which, in the worst case scenerio, will put you in no worse of a position than you already are with a phone you cant use), I will provide some instructions:

  1. Turn off iPhone - Hold down the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the red slider. Ignore this step if your iPhone is already off.
  2. Press and hold down the Home button for about 10 seconds until a yellow triangle with a text which says Please Connect to iTunes appears. iphone-recovery-mode.jpg
  3. Plug the iPhone into Mac or Windows PC. Release the button if you haven’t.
  4. Run and open iTunes if it’s not already opened yet.
  5. iTunes will prompt a message that says iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Click OK.
  6. You will be taken to the iPhone pane. Then, click on Restore.
  7. Wait for the full restoration process to complete, and the iPhone will be back to the original settings state as when it left the manufacturing factory, typically a working phone again if you face any problem, unless it’s hardware related.

Hope this helps!!
