My xbox seems dead. The light on the plug in is yellow and nothing happens when I turn the xbox on. I have tried a different cord and nothing happens. I have a game stuck in the xbox and can't get out also.

Take the Hard drive off, unplug the power wire from the wall, and plug it in to a different outlet, make sure the RCA (red, white, yellow)cables are still connected from Xbox to TV(or this will give red lights when turned on) and with that done, turn the unit on. Are the lights gone?
hold both the connection buttons on the consel and the controler untill it conectes. if it dosnt connect then your controller mit be damaged and cant remember the software for it. try to get a different controller to conect to it to see if it conects.
This seems to be the next ROD issue. The video cards/chips on the XBOX360 seem to having the same issues as the CPU. In the ROD issue, the CPU heat sink is coming lose due to warping or other issues. The same thing is happening for the video. When it comes loose, you will lose some of your colors and/or all video. For me, mine turned green then later nothing. But I had sound still. The XBOX repair places should be able to fix it or there is a kit you can get online.
As far as the yellow light on the power supply is concerned. Unhook it from the Xbox 360 and only plug it into a power outlet. If the light is yellow then the power supply is bad. If the light stays green then plug it into the xbox 360, if it tells yellow then, at that point you know that the main board is causing the yellow light on the power supply and that means the main board is bad.

Check your Monitor. if you are not getting the Red lights in front of the Xbox360 then nothing wrong with the wires.
you can try another Xbox360 cable goto you local store buy one, and test it, if the same result you can return the cable abit of a hassle though.
But usually when the cable are bad the red will flash in front of the Xbox, otherwise test the monitor or the TV with something else.
if all that checks out, then perhaps the XBOX360 is just plain dead.
they usually last about 4 years anyways. DVD drive goes bad. Video could be bad. hard to say
When the Xbox 360 power supply light is orange or yellow this means there is no problem with your console but the power supply can't supply it with power.
To remedy this problem, first try unplugging the Xbox 360 power supply from the console and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. You'll also want to uplug the Xbox 360 power supply from the power cord.
Wait for about five minutes and then reconnect everything. You might also want to try plugging it into another wall outlet without an extension cord.
If you are still getting an orange or yellow indicator light, then something is at fault with the Xbox 360 power supply. If this is the case, contact the Xbox 360 customer support to get a new one
well it seems that your xbox is well and truely broken. contact microsoft and tell them whats happened and if you have done nothing wrong to cause your 360 to break then they will repair/ replace your xbox for free
