Well i believe you go to your local best buy or a store that sells electronics and purchase an sd card. or purchase online (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7640699&st=sd+card&type=product&id=1134698297631) depends on what size of sd card as well. my advice, go to best buy, future shop, with you nav device and ask them for help

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

GPS says "check SD card"

You can try a smaller SD card (1GB max), but I think the real problem is that there have to be maps on the card - they're not built in. The unit originally came with a cd with extra maps. The unit has a built in mp3 player - try putting a few mp3s on the card, and use the player - that should tell you if it's reading the SD card, anyway.

I have a i-mate jasjar and Iam tring to use a tom tom gps sd card

It is a totally different kind of product. It's like trying to view documents on an sd card through your camera. You'll have to clear the card and reload it with information from the manufacturers website.

My evesham gps is not working

Virginia...You need to reformat your SD card. Once you have done that, you need to recopy the original files from the cd, to the SD card. I also have the new N30 software if you need it. Joe

Tom Tom navagation files out of place

Try putting the files like this:
In My Device/iPAQ File Store/iPAQ GPS, put the folder with your country name (in my case it says Australia), the "Navigator" folder and the "GPS" and "Map ID" files.
In My Device/My Documents/Tom Tom you should have a file thats called something like "Australia-3bc66a12" (will be different for other countries), and another called "TTToday" and any POI files you've created.
See how that goes. Otherwise, you may be able to reinstall TomTom software from the original disk if you have it. Any map upgrades you've bought will need to be reloaded from TomTom Home

Restting problem

Sounds like a problem with third party software. Try removing your applications one by one until you discover the culprit. Or, back up everything (copy your backup folder to another spot on your computer as well), then hard reset the unit to bring it back to factory default. If it still happens, then it is likely a hardware problem. Otherwise, try re-installing apps one by one. Note, sometimes it can be the interaction of two apps that causes a mysterious problem like this.

SD Card Recognition

Perform the following procedures when your digital camera does not detect the SD card. 1. Restart the camera Turn the main power OFF, or open the battery cover or SD card/battery cover to remove the battery. Make sure the SD card is fully installed. Then, turn the main power ON, or insert a battery again and close the battery cover or SD card/battery cover until it latches. 2. Initialize the SD card Format the SD card with your camera. Formatting procedures varies depending on the camera model. See the Camera User Guide supplied with your camera for the instruction to format the SD card. When formatting the SD card, slide its tab upward to cancel write protection. It is impossible to format the SD card while it is write protected. 3. Check if your camera detects other SD cards (If you own multiple SD cards.) If your camera does not detect the SD card after performing the procedures 1 and 2, check if the camera detects other SD cards. If it does detect other SD cards, the SD card that wasn't detected may contain some problem.
