Question about ViewSonic PJ458D Multimedia Projector

1 Answer

Shrinking Screen Display

Our ViewSonic projector, which we bought only last May 2006 is having screen display problem. After only few minutes of operation the screen only shows 2/3 of the actual screen displayed in the computer then gradually shrinking. Can you please help diagnose the problem? Is this related to bulb? The projected is being used for 4 continous hours during Sunday only, for church service.

Re: Shrinking Screen Display

It can be a problem with teh may want to make sure that the fan is not shutting down when you power off the projector becsue that may shorten the life of the bulb,...the fan should remain on for a while to continue cooling off the probably won't hurt to have use another fan pointing to the projector while in use...

Computer screen on, Projector off

If you are running Windows 7\8:
Leave the ViewSonic projector on.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select "Screen Resolution".
In the display column, it will give you an option to select your computer monitor, the ViewSonic, or to clone the displays.
Select your computer monitor display only.
Shut off the ViewSonic projector.

If you are running Windows XP:
The process is basically the same except you find the settings under Control Panel > Display.

Have an LCD projector viewsonic PJ513D. We can't see well on screen.. the display is blur.. can't see anything.. What could it be?? THe lamp time used till now is 696 hrs. Please...

You need to adjust the focus lenses ring until the picture is no longer blur. It is like in the old manual film camera, some model and brand have autofocus which can adjust thru setting. So try to adjust it.
