Question about LG Vu CU920 Cellular Phone
Take out the battery....then put it back in. Do not try to turn on the phone yet. Next plug the phone up to charge. Wait until the charging screen appears and then power the phone. Worked for me.....good luck.

I replaced the battery on mine and fixed it. You will have to plug the charger in the phone without the battery, repeat this until the you get different message than emergency download. Then wait until it tells you to place battery in. Then hold power button down until phone turns on

Okay so i had the same thing show up on my phone. i spilled some liquid on it and it freaked out and did showed this message. So heres what i did and its the only thing i found to work. So take your phone the Lg vu doesnt matter what type, and remove Everything from it. the sim card, the memory card if you have one AND the battery, now plug the phone in to either a USB in a computer or to your charger with out anything in the phone. Turn on your phone like normal and a screen should come up that says insert battery, while the phone is still showing this message put the batter it the phone and it should start back up, if it doeskin turn the phone on like normal again, next it will say insert sim card, do that while the phone is still on, and restart the phone again, now your phone should start like normal, it worked for me i tried everything else online and this is the only thing to get rid of the "emergency error download thing" what ever it said. So thats what it is and your welcome people of the web!

I dropped mine in the ocean twice and in the toilet, I dryed everything inside it over with a blowdryer for a half an hour left by the window sill with everything left out of the phone then put white rice in a ziplock bag put the phone in with everything still taken out of it and leave for a couple of days the white rice will absorb all the water out of the phone and help with that problem, then if the Emergency Download appears you can take out the battery put it back in, then plug it in to a computer or the wall charger wait a few seconds and then hold the power up button (red) and it will come one, just don't turn your phone off if you don't have your charger.

I had the same problem, it's mostly ok now, but it isn't totally fixed.
Have patience, dry everything again and again. I also tried the red button. continue to reput and take out the battery, sim card and memory card.
It'll be fixed in a couple of hours. However, it might have a couple of buttons that go wrong. (they don't work anymore)

It really helps if you put it into rice after you get it wet. Take it apart and then put it in dry white rice!

***** Before Sending In Your Phone For Repairs *****
check your battery. this happened to me. my battery was kind of tilted down on the site with the gold contacts. believe it or not, i split a toothpick (about half an inch long) and wedged it in between the lower left edge of the battery and the phone itself in order to push it up into the contacts. boom. works great now. no more emergency download screen. no more insert sim card screen. no more glitches.
ah, modern technology.

Get new phone

Best take the phone back to the shop and ask the experts.
It's a pity all pockets don't have zips. It would save phones and other valuables falling out when one sits down or goes to the toilet!
In future sew zips or buttons or press-studs onto pockets to stop mobile phone, keys, money, paper etc falling out, or keep a little airtight bag with vauables in!

Nothing happened to my phone. It just stopped working and said "emergency download" I do not have a cable to connect it to PC. I tried all of the above solutions and none of them worked. Any other tips?
