James, if you don't know your password, or it isnt' taking it, you will have to removed the CMOS battery. This looks like a watch battery. Remove the screws from the bottom of the case and then lift up and remove cover. Carefully remove the hard drive and memory modules by spreading the latches on the side and gently unseating the memory. Place the components on an anti-static sheet. Turn the computer over and remove the keyboard from your system. Remove the small, round CMOS battery from the motherboard. Leave it out for 60 seconds and then put it back in. Reassemble.
you can try to log on as the administrator and see if you can change your password back. Unless you have changed the admin password you should still be able to log in as either 'admin' with no password, 'administrator' with no password or either one with the password 'admin'. Some computers use admin others use administrator. I hope it works out for you! Good luck.
ctrl+alt+del, a login screen will appear. Then type in the user field "Administrator", and if you did not create a super admin password /if you created a super admin password write that in/ then push enter. From here you can change the password for the admins or non admins.
If you gave the bad pass /which cannot be used because of the odd character/ to the super admin then you need to reinstall since you can not get in.
