Question about Numark ttUSB Turntable

Open Question

Numark TTUSB seems to be rotating too slowly

Just bought and set up a new Numark TTUSB. At 0% pitch shift, the table isn't spinning quickly enough while transferring from record to . As far as I can tell, everything is set up right. I slipped the belt onto the motor pin, I'm not 100% sure the stylus is weighted perfectly, but messing around with that had no effect on playback. When I increase the pitch shift to +10%, I get the correct playback speed. Any suggestions?

Numark TTUSB runs slow. I can adjust and somewhere between 5 and 10 percent I can find the right pitch, but that's not really a solution. You should not have to adjust pitch every time you play an LP.

Vista still has a lot of bugs in it in regards to audio codecs. Most manufacturer's won't provide support on PC's with Vista.

Open Preferences, Sound, your input should be  USB Audio Codec (turntable).. make sure your output is NOT USB Audio Codec, rather, headphones (for external speakers plugged in there)... thats how i have mine set up...

SOURCE: Tonearm Weight, Good Replacement Stylus, Gain level

Most good turntables will track with weights between 1.25 and 1.5 grams. Any more than that and you are putting alot of pressure on the needle. Experiment a bit and make sure that the needle tracks well and that the sound is good. The less weight you use, the longer the needle will last and the less wear on the record.

Platter vibrates; doesn't rotate smoothly

Hi,
Do one thing Remove the palter and put one drop of lubricating oil in the center shaft. Also put one drop in the motor shaft. Be carefull do not drope the oil in motor pulley. If so clean the pulley with a cloth. Because it will cause slipping the belton the pulley. Then put the plater back. Rotate the plater with arms for some time. Then check.

My turntable judders when playing a vinyl.I have tried a different drive belt and a different platter, but that has not helped.I am transferring my vinyl to mp3 so I need a solution. The turntable is about 4...

Check the belt path for any foreign material that may be on the pulleys. Without the belt attached, feel for a rough spot(s) while slowly rotating the platter. Same for drive motor. This will often identify the offending part. With a seldom used table, the grease on the table spindle dries out and may need cleaning with a solvent (alcohol) and q-tips. The same for the motor. Then re-lube with a synthetic oil. Be careful that you don't lose any bearings or spacers. This technique has repaired many tt's. Good luck, work slowly and carefully.

My turntable is running slow!..and i just bought this turntable brand new a couple weeks ago...please help me.

Check the +10 / -10 slider too make sure it's not set to -10; adjust it towards +10 to the pitch / tone desired. Check the belt to make sure it is not loose. A loose belt will slip and turn the record slower than the recommended 33 or 45 RPM. Have a look at the YouTube video for correct set up if you're still having problems.

I Bought a TTUSb from an auction. I do not have software EZ Conv

My guess is that you have not bought a Numark turntable at all, but a fake. You should contact the auction site/place and inform them you have been sold a fake. Many sites have ways of dealing with fakes. You might even get your money back. If you are lucky!

the belt is at the button of the turn table.
lock down the turn table and turn the turn able upside down, unscrew the 4 screws and open the button plate. you may need to get a new belt. make sure it is the right size.(that may be a difficult, now a days).
