Question about Numark ttUSB Turntable
Just bought and set up a new Numark TTUSB. At 0% pitch shift, the table isn't spinning quickly enough while transferring from record to . As far as I can tell, everything is set up right. I slipped the belt onto the motor pin, I'm not 100% sure the stylus is weighted perfectly, but messing around with that had no effect on playback. When I increase the pitch shift to +10%, I get the correct playback speed. Any suggestions?

You answered your own question: "He has Vista ..."
Vista still has a lot of bugs in it in regards to audio codecs. Most manufacturer's won't provide support on PC's with Vista.

Open Preferences, Sound, your input should be USB Audio Codec (turntable).. make sure your output is NOT USB Audio Codec, rather, headphones (for external speakers plugged in there)... thats how i have mine set up...

Most good turntables will track with weights between 1.25 and 1.5 grams. Any more than that and you are putting alot of pressure on the needle. Experiment a bit and make sure that the needle tracks well and that the sound is good. The less weight you use, the longer the needle will last and the less wear on the record.

Well hope fully its something small. check your pitch control first make sure its not set at a slow speed. then check your start stop knobs at the bottom of the table. roll them one way then start it see if that works, then the other way... if its not that then its possibly its a malfunction ,, Numark with there new awesome products but sometimes faulty that turntable wigs out goin slow then normal then slow ect... If its less then a year send it in it is coverd by warrantee
